Following a mixed start for the month of June, stock futures were slightly lower in the early hours of Tuesday ahead of JOLTs data.
Here are some of Tuesday’s biggest stock movers:
Biggest stock gainers
- GameStop (NYSE:GME) shares rose 8% in the premarket hours of Tuesday, building on the 21% gain seen on Monday. The latest move in the meme stock followed another Reddit post from Keith Gill, aka Roaring Kitty. An unverified screenshot on Reddit indicated a paper gain of $78.6M from his recent purchase of 5M GameStop (GME) shares and 120K June 21 call options.
- HealthEquity (NASDAQ:HQY) shares gained nearly 6% on exceeding expectations in Q1 results, with top-line growth of about 18% and adjusted EBITDA +36% Y/Y. The company also provided a positive FY2024 outlook, expecting revenue between $1.16B and $1.18B vs. the consensus of $1.16B and adjusted EPS in the range of $2.93 to $3.10, above the consensus of $2.92.
- Shares of biopharmaceutical company Annexon (NASDAQ:ANNX) jumped above 35% ahead of a scheduled conference call and webcast to discuss GBS phase 3 data, which is due later today at 8:30 a.m. ET.
Biggest stock losers
- Shares of BARK (NYSE:BARK) plunged more than 10% after the company reported mixed Q4 results, missing top-line expectations and a lackluster outlook. For FQ1, BARK expects total revenue to be between $113M and $116M, below the consensus of $124M, and FY2025 revenue between $490M and $500M, falling short of the consensus of $511.3M.
